Blue Apron is a meal kit subscription service. It was founded in August 2012. The founders of Blue Apron are Matt Wadiak, Matt Saltzberg, and Ilia Papas. The current Chief Executive Officer is Brad Dickerson. Blue Apron is publicly traded. The headquarters are located in New York City, New York. There are fulfillment centers located in Richmond, California; Jersey City, New Jersey; Linden, New Jersey; and Arlington, Texas. In May 2018, Blue Apron started becoming available in Costco locations within California. Blue Apron currently has over 8 million monthly subscribers. Blue Apron sends you delicious recipes and ingredients to cook each week. Each week, you will have a chance to choose your recipes. Most meals are easy and only takes 20 minutes to prepare. You will then receive a box with pre-portioned ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions. Your box will be well insulated and will arrive in the same condition that it was in when it was shipped. There are two plans available: Two-Person and Family. The Two-Person plan can be purchased in 2 recipes ($47.95 per week), or 3 recipes ($59.94 per week). The Family plan can be purchased in 2 recipes ($71.92 per week), 3 recipes ($95.88 per week), or 4 recipes ($119.84 per week). The Family plan serves four people (2 adults, 2 children). There are vegetarian options available as well. Blue Apron also has a wine subscription available. For only $65.99 per month, you can enjoy six bottles of wine. They are 500mL wines. You can choose between reds, all whites, or mix and match. Blue Apron will include tasting notes, pairing tips, and a background of every wine that is sent to you. 7. Be sure to retain your cancellation proof for your records
